Couples Sessions
Seymour Photos now offers the Couples Session as a separate package, allowing you to have beautiful images of the two of you, any time you want. It is also not limited to couples who have recently been engaged! No matter what age you are, how long you have been together - even if you are married - these packages allow you to revisit that spark that brought you together.

Couples sessions, or engagement sessions as they are traditionally known, are pre-wedding sessions that help the photographer and the couple get to know each other a little more (although today they are really for any couple who wants to capture their special bond). It is normally arranged for anywhere between two to six months prior to a wedding and builds a rapport between the couple and the photographer.
This is usually a one to three hour shoot at a location of your choosing. This serves a few purposes…
Firstly, it gives us an idea of how you interact as a couple. It can be quite difficult to pose a couple when you are unsure of how that couple interacts with each other. If you are told to kiss lovingly and you are not the type of people to show too much affection in public then the images will reflect this. With the couples session we can get an idea of how you are together by just allowing you to ‘play’ – have a bit of fun and let us capture some images. As the shoot progresses we can help you with your poses and give you some suggestions.
Secondly, it gives you an idea of what it will be like in front of the camera. Some people stand to attention and grin fiercely when a camera is pointed in their general direction – doesn’t make for an inspiring photo! You will learn to relax in front of the camera and get used to the camera pointing at you. You will get an idea of how to pose for and what poses are more flattering. For example, standing straight on to the camera with your arms by your side is probably the least flattering pose, whereas turning your body slightly, tilting your head and placing your hands correctly can yield a much more elegant photo.
Having this couples session also allows you to see how we work and how we give direction. You don’t want a photographer who barks orders and gets grumpy when things aren’t quite right… which, by the way, we don’t do!

One 10x8 inch gallery framed print (mounted and framed in a 4cm deep solid ash frame in black or brown)
