About Us

I have been involved in photography for many, many years. In fact, my interest in photography first started on a trip to Wales when I was 6. I took what i considered to be a marvellous shot, looking down on Conwy Castle using my Dad’s Polaroid camera. Since then, my family and friends have only been able to talk to a camera attached to my face - on very rare occasions you may find my physical being in a picture or two! Luckily, I have also been blessed with such a perfect photography related surname that I couldn’t pass the opportunity to name my business using it!
I started the Celebrations photography in 2005 and have been photographing weddings, celebrations and events since. I consider myself a documentary or reportage photographer; that is… I blend into the crowd and get the natural shots you wouldn't normally see with the traditionally posed images. However, if traditional is what you want; I can also fulfil your needs.
I ventured into portrait photography a couple of years later and have built up a substantial mobile studio. This helps most people feel more comfortable about having their photographs taken. They can be in their own environment and this allows their personality to shine through. I love finding the best in people and capturing it. My greatest sense of achievement is seeing the look of happiness (or even a few tears) when my photographs are viewed. Knowing that these images will last generations and will be appreciated by children, grand-children and great-grandchildren makes me feel incredibly privileged to be photographing such beautiful and momentous occasions.
Photographs are a treasured moment in your life that can open up wonderful memories. Their recall can even induce physical responses – a photograph can help you to recall smells and tastes; a photograph can have you remembering a whole day from just one captured fraction-of-a-second; a photograph can make you laugh and cry and hurt and love all over again.
Photographs are such wonderful memories, captured and preserved for you to re-live over and over again. I feel so lucky to have the insight and vision to capture those moments for so many people.
Meet the rest of the team...

Zoe runs the business and deals with all things administrative. She has a great wealth of experience with facts, figures and spreadsheets. She is the backbone of the business and compliments my artistic knowledge with her firm, yet tender grasp of customer service.

Ian and David are my second photographers who attend some of the weddings I capture. They are the 'detail' men - whilst I am away with the Bride and Groom they are happily capturing all of the detail that may not be noticed by the busy Bride and Groom on such a special day.
We are a happy, approachable team who treats everyone as a good friend - you'll feel you've known us for years!
If you like our photographic style please feel free to contact us to discuss your needs. There are absolutely no obligations.
